have contributed so greatly to the art and success of this music venue.

If you have visited the Country Music Hall of Fame previously, it has moved to a
new home - an imposing, glass, limestone and brick structure with much more
exhibition space.

Cumberland
Science Museum - Exhibits
featuring the areas of anthropology, astronomy, health, natural history, the
physical sciences are designed to be of interest to both young and old. Many
'hands-on' exhibits are included.
Also featured is a 'computer lab' which has
been very popular, and they conduct special science lectures and exhibits daily.
Also included in the facility is a full-scale planetarium.

General Jackson Showboat
- Here is
a four-deck, paddle-wheel showboat reminiscent of the Mississippi River
riverboat days. Various cruises are available, afternoon and evening including a
special 3+ hour evening/dinner cruise which features a musical stage
extravaganza.

Grand Ole Opry House
- The
Grand Ole Opry is America's longest running radio program. Since its first
broadcast in 1925, it has not missed one single performance! Shows are 2½ hours
long but are divided into segments running 15 and 30 minutes. These shows are
very popular and tickets must be ordered in advance. (If a show is not sold out,
tickets may be available but don't count on it.)

Valley Wax Museum
Featuring
over fifty exhibits of life-sized wax figures of famous country & western
music stars. Also available for viewing is their famous 'Sidewalk of the Stars'
with over 250 handprints and signatures of country & western music stars.

Toy Museum
See
thousands of antique toys and dolls! A fascinating display of interest to young
and not-so young. They also feature a special exhibit of toy trains, some dating
back to the 19th Century. Located in the Opryland Complex. Take exit 12B

Nashville Zoo Included
on this 200 acre preserve are, of course, the zoo, a well stocked aquarium, a
very larg play area for the young ones plus some very nice hiking trails. Also
included is a mid-19th-century farm house and a well-done reproduction of a
large, well populated barn. An exceptional zoo by any standard! Take exit 78A of

Opryland Hotel

this is a 'working hotel' - but it is also so much more! Located in the Opryland
complex on the east bank of the Cumberland River, the property features three
enclosed gardens displaying some 10,000 tropical plants, waterfall, a
well-planned array of shops and restaurants and, outside, a 4½ acre with lakes
and passenger-carrying flatboats. Christmas season brings a plethora of lights

Ryman Auditorium Home
of the Grand Ole Opry from 1943 to 1974, this famous old theatre has been host
to many world-famous performers, classical, opera, country & western, well,
about every venue of entertainment. Build in 1892, it was extensively renovated
in 1994 and now seats 2,100 folks for a wide variety of shows (including video
