Schoenbrunn
Village State Memorial - Founded by the Moravians in 1772, Schoenbrunn was intended to be mission to 'Christianize' the Delaware Indians. Schoenbrunn soon grew to include sixty log dwellings and a population of over 300. Because of clashes with the British and Indians allied with the British durint the Revolutionary War, Schoenbrunn was abandoned in 1777.

Today the reconstructed village includes seventeen log buildings, some gardens and the original cemetery. A museum and visitor center helps introduce the visitor to the many exhibits and artifacts.
Summer hours are 9:30a to 5p Wednesday through Saturday; noon to 5p

From I-77 take exit 81 and drive east on US-250 to the OH-259 exit
(2nd exit). Exit and turn left onto OH-259. Schoenbrunn
is about 0.5 miles from the exit.
