The unofficial hub of New York City, Times Square - the junction of Broadway and Seventh Avenue - attracts some 30+ million foreign and domestic visitors annually. In the immediate area of Times Square are 45 Broadway theatres (annual ticket sales over 1/2 Billion USD annually) and 20% of all the hotel rooms (28 hotels) in the city.

For tourist information, your first stop should be the Times Square Visitors Center in the landmark Embassy Movie Theatre on Broadway between 46th and 47th Streets. The Visitors Center offers city-wide visitor information between 8a and 8p, 7 days a week, from the Times Square Business Improvement District tourist advisors. Assistance is usually available in many foreign languages.
