The
mission: improve public understanding of science and technology.
The method: maintain 150+ hands-on, interactive exhibits divided
into thematic sections.
The place: New York Hall of Science - unique in New York City and
probably the most popular destination of school field trips. Of course, it
is open to the public as well.
Primary exhibits include:
- Seeing the Light - a
journey into the world of color, light and perception
- Realm of the Atom -
visitors examine and manipulate the world's first three-dimensional,
dynamic model of an atom and learn about quantum physics
- World of Microbes - the
nation's largest interactive microbiology exhibition featuring a
working, scanning electron microscope which magnifies objects 25,000
times

thru Sunday, 9:30a - 5p. (Closed Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve,
Christmas, and New Years.)
