This century-plus old building covers about 1 million square feet of exhibition and seating space. Seating 20,000, the 600 plus events each year, plus the many tour groups, count up to over 4 million visitors each year. Note that the roof, about 400 feet in diameter, is supported 64 feet above floor by 48 steel cables - accommodating a full, three-ring circus with room to spare! Tours (fee charged) are available in 'any language' (especially English, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Russian and Spanish). The tour tick entitles bearer to special discounts at the Garden's tourist shop and Sports Restaurant.
