| Which
is more famous: Tupelo the last major battleground (and possibly the most
important battle in Mississippi) of the Civil War ... or Tupelo, the
birthplace of the King of Rock and Roll, Elvis Presley?
Most visitors are
here to see the King's humble birthplace which is now part of the Elvis
Presley Center. His Dad built the home with a loan of $180. The family
moved to Memphis but Elvis came back again and again to revisit his
birthplace.
Included
in the Elvis Presley Center is a museum housing what is considered to be
the best collection of Elvis memorabilia in the world.
