Indian Shores
19305 Gulf Blvd
Indian Shores FL 34635-0050

Tiny in year-round population (1,500) and size (15 city blocks), Indian Shores is located on the Sand Key barrier island (west of Clearwater). During the winter tourist season, Indian Shores swells to over 5,000 inhabitants. The town maintains about 2½ miles of re-nourished, white sandy beaches. Indian Shores is host to the Suncoast Seabird Sanctuary which houses and treats injured pelicans, herons, egrets, owls, hawks and other birds. Visitors can see more than 600 wild birds, from cormorants, white egrets, and brown pelicans to birds of prey. (see their web site at www.seabirdsanctuary.org)
