El Pueblo Museum

  When Pueblo was originally 'founded', its function was that of trading post attracting the trappers and Indians and populated by resident and itinerant traders. El Pueblo Museum is situated on the actual spot of the original trading post and has many, permanent exhibits chronicling the history of Pueblo, its residents and visitors.   Also on display are many exhibits featuring the lifestyles of the area Native Americans extending in time to before the arrival of the Spanish explorers in the mid-Sixteenth Century.
