Florissant Attractions (CO)

Florissant Fossil Beds Nat'l Monument - See what this part of the earth was like 35 million years ago. On County Road #1 just north of Cripple Creek, you'll find great hiking trails.

Open year around except Thanksgiving, Christmas & New Year's. Adults: $3.00; Children: ( 16 and under) free.

Directions: From I-25 Exit 141, follow US-24 west about 35 miles to Florissant. Turn left on and follow Teller County Rd 1 south about 2.5 miles to the Visitors' Center. (Just follow the signs.)
