Park didn't like being in the shadow of Anaheim's Disneyland so they came
up with a few dynamite attractions of their own. Our favorite is
Knott's
Berry Farm. It has grown over the years, added Camp Snoopy (home of the Peanuts Gang)
but the two favorite spots are still the Ghost Town (sure, it's fake but
it's fun!) and the pies and jams. Knott's jams are famous around the
world; certainly you've tasted one or more of them a few times in your
life. You've probably never had a berry pie (my favorite is the
boysenberry) to match Knott's. Oh, yes, the Farm is at 8039 Beach Blvd
(phone 714-220-5200). Almost forgot... they also now have the largest,
plushest, full-service hotel in the area: the Radisson Resort, and it is
right on the property! For reservations, click here > Radisson

Just down the road from Knott's Berry Farm, at 7622 Beach Blvd, is the
Medieval Times Dinner & Tournament.
Here, while you're trying to consume a huge, 4-course banquet (decked out
in medieval style and served by costumed wait staffers) you are
entertained in royal style by some spectacular horsemanship. Watch as brave knights compete in authentic jousting matches, tournament games, and
'dangerous' sword fights. For reservations, phone 714-521-4740.
At 7711 Beach Blvd,
just before you get to the Medieval arena, is the
Movieland Wax Museum.
More than 290 famous stars in are on display all decked out in authentic costumes and props.
