The Sahara Hotel and Casino opened its doors in 1952 and quickly became one of Las Vegas' most exciting destinations. Featuring the era's most celebrated performers, including Ann-Margret, Johnny Carson and Tina Turner, the Sahara set the standard in Las Vegas growing entertainment scene. The Sahara blazed new ground by inviting the Beatles to Las Vegas for the very first time.

In the heart of our property, we have a sparkling 5,000 square foot pool featuring 13 private cabanas, circular fountains, a gazebo-covered spa and a snack bar that offers tropical refreshments. The pool is open daily throughout the summer. The spa is open year round throughout the summer.

There are roller coasters, then there's the Sahara SPEED.  Using electromagnetic force to accelerate the coaster to top speeds virtually instantaneously. SPEED toes some conventional loop-the-loops, then accelerates from 35mph to 70mph in just 2 seconds and zips through the Sahara's 192-foot-tall marquee stopping 224 feet above the ground. SPEED then reverses, zooming along the same breath-taking path to the NASCAR Cafe. 

Live entertainment is presented in the Casbar Lounge and the Congo Room.
