ATTRACTIONS

Magic Kingdom®

This is what most people think of when they hear the name Disney World® - and this is the original, and still the centerpiece, of what is now the Walt Disney World Resort. While the displays and adventures are constantly changing, the Kingdom is segmented into the following adventures:

Cinderella's Castle

Centerpiece of the Disney Magic Kingdom and familiar to folks all over the world, Cinderella's Castle serves as the main gateway to Fantasyland.

Main Street USA

Exhibits, lots of shops and some rides are the attractions here. Access to all the 'lands' is also available from 'Main Street'.

Walt Disney World® Railroad

This is an authentic steam train which runs around the Magic Kingdom giving its passengers a good scan of the entire park. There are stations located at strategic sites around the park.

Mickey's ToonTown Fair

The kids can visit Mickey's Country House, Minnie's Country House, Donald's Boat and Goofy's Wiseacre Farm.

Fantasyland

Most of the adventures in Fantasyland are based on Disney films, e.g., The Lion King, Peter Pan, Snow White and Winnie the Pooh.

Tomorrow land

As the name implies, Tomorrowland is all about an imaginary future - a quasi science fiction set of adventures (Disneyspeak for rides). Adventures include Astro Orbiter, Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin,
The ExtraTERRORestrial Alien Encounter, Tomorrowland Indy Speedway, Space Mountain, The TimeKeeper, Walt Disney's Carousel of Progress, Tomorrowland Light and Power Co. (a video arcade), Tomorrowland Transit Authority and Galaxy Palace Theater (presenting live entertainment).

Frontierland

Frontierland offers a variety of adventures, typically cast in the cloak of the Old West and other outdoor venues. Adventures include Big Thunder Mountain Railroad (an unusual roller coaster ride), Country Bear Jamboree (live entertainment), Splash Mountain (water flume ride), Frontierland Shootin' Arcade, Tom Sawyer Island (a great adventure for the younger ones on your party) and Mike Fink Keelboats (slow, scenic boat ride).

Adventureland

Based on adventures of fictional characters, there are some adventures here you will undoubtedly never forget. Such as: Pirates of the Caribbean, Jungle Cruise and the Enchanted Tiki Room. Of special interest to the younger ones is Shrunken Ned's Junior Jungle Boats (Remote-controlled miniature boats). And, of course, the Swiss Family Treehouse is a walk-through adventure with its own set of surprises.

Liberty Square

A must-see here is the Hall of Presidents (yes, they have added Mr. Clinton) which is a theatrical presentation using animated mannequins, each representing a president of the United States of America. Very well done and educating for all. Other attractions include: the Diamond Horseshoe Saloon Revue (live entertainment), the Haunted Mansion (a 'scary' funhouse) and two, rather sedate rides, Liberty Belle Riverboat (an authentic stern-wheeler) and the Yankee Trader, an authentic 19th-century schooner.
