Vancouver is blessed (most of the time) with very nice weather. It is also a very friendly town (okay, city, but it doesn't really seem like one). Here you'll find such places as Stanley Park - 1000 acres of quiet places and fun things including sidewalk art shows, lots of ducks and even occasional street performers. If you love flowers, you'll want to tour the fabulous rose gardens. Included somewhere in that 1000 acres are tennis courts, cricket fields, hiking and biking trails and even a swimming pool.
